Lakshmibai is a 38-year-old physically challenged woman staying in Kodihalli, Bengaluru. A few years into her marriage she lost her husband to a prolonged illness, leaving her to raise two young daughters on her own.
She took on many small jobs, suffered a great deal, but never put down her weapons — she fought hard for the wellbeing of her family.
REIN India Foundation now supports her with steady work: she sells the eco-friendly cotton bags and accessories crafted by our community of physically challenged women. Her story is one of many that light our four-year journey.
